A difficult decision made at the right time

ALDG was about to finalize an agreement to set up a factory in Florida. However, the introduction of 50% US tariffs on aluminum completely changed the parameters of the project. Faced with uncertainty and additional risks, the company made the prudent decision to cancel this expansion before committing further.

This decision represents approximately $50,000 in legal fees and travel expenses already incurred. Nevertheless, it allows ALDG to protect its stability, its approximately 50 employees, and its ability to serve its customers and partners in the long term.

Protecting the company and its partners

In a rapidly evolving business environment, a company's strength relies as much on its ability to innovate as on its ability to make responsible decisions. For ALDG, it was essential to prevent a project that had become too uncertain from compromising its current operations.

This choice reflects a clear priority: maintaining reliable operations, preserving jobs, and continuing to offer durable, compliant, and safe aluminum solutions.

Accelerating growth in Canada

The withdrawal from the Florida project does not mean a slowdown. Instead, ALDG is redirecting its investments towards Canadian markets, particularly Western Canada and Alberta, where the company is already pursuing its development.

This strategy is based on ALDG's manufacturing expertise, the quality of its products, and strong relationships with contractors, installers, distributors, and partners in the construction industry.

A local company looking to the future

Since 2010, ALDG has been designing and manufacturing railings, balconies, and aluminum solutions to meet the needs of residential, multi-residential, and commercial projects. The company remains resolutely committed to performance, safety, and sustainable growth.
